No Friend of Mine

Well it don’t get better than this we solve our problems with our fists, measure time from our wrists and in the middle of this miss the point when it seemed so cryptic, days of work are apocalyptic.
I’ve been looking for a friend I could have, not metrosexual does things by halves…so I can look good, so I can look good…
We’re all brothers but you’re no friend of mine…
Well it don’t get clearer than that until you’re lost in all the stats, until you’ve stamped it till it’s flat you wear your banker’s hat and miss the train to the next last supper, all that money in the states is still scuppered.
I’ve been looking for a friend I could have, low haemoglobin does things by halves, so I can look good…so I can look good…
We’re all brothers but you’re no friend of mine…
I’d change the planet but then thinking loud is borderline, I’m on your side until they tell me that it’s feeding time, we see the world as the thing we’re denied, “We’re all brothers but you’re no friend of mine”…

Young Defeatists

You hold your own, making out you’re born when you’re full grown
If it gets too slow, you’re holding out for wind before you go
And if we ever stop…it’s the hole for me and you…
‘Cause we’re the only ones that love to start a rise and fall, yes we’re the only ones who love to start a rise and fall, ’cause we’re the young defeatists
Use all you know, but never let the feeling you’ve got show that you’re on you’re own, barring all the reason’s you’ve had cloned…
‘Cause we’re the only ones that love to start a rise and fall, yes we’re the only ones who love to start a rise and fall, ’cause we’re the young defeatists
We’re all lost but then no-one’s really marking the roads, we could be driving asleep
And this is a call to anyone who thinks they’re still part of the show, you know you’re just like me…
‘Cause we’re the only ones that love to start a rise and fall…
Everytime you think, think we’re on the brink we’ll prove you right ’cause we’re the young defeatists…
